Tired of having to either move or wedge or whatever every time we get strong winds, I decided to fix up some gizmo to keep a tall tree in a shallow pot from going over.

Made it from 5mm wire. It's stiff but still bendable enough to flex IF I need it to for removal or repositioning.

Easy enough to make and it's working. I watched the juniper TRYING to sway in the wind last night.

The tree IS wired into the pot.

I put 3 of them about equally spaced around the pot. They swing out of the way to pick up the tree if needed.

I collected a couple tall larch and a scots that are going to need some wratchet straps to hold em down. But I might borrow this for some of my smaller tall stuff that likes wind

might think about putting a washer on...might give you a little more grip.
