The not a contest contest gave me a really big itch and so I scratched. These aren’t my contest trees. I’ve had these for awhile now, I got them when I first started my bonsai journey. Finally pulled em out and cut em oback, they were getting pretty overgrown and had some die back anyway so it was time. They’re not much right now, but hopefully they’ll become some nice shohin material.
We’ve got a potentilla, crape myrtle, and loropetalum, respectively. I love loropetalum, I have another that’s a dwarf variety that I think will actually be pretty kick ass.
