Not a bonsai, luckily, but in a common lilac in the yard.

The tree itself looks not too good.

How do you get rid of them? Or is it easier to get rid of the tree that I kind of dislike anyway?
If I get rid of it do I have to do something in order to prevent them borers to migrate toward another tree?

Any tips' welcome :)

Depends on how bad it is. If its bad, cut it down and get rid of the wood.
Some borers are species specific and others dont care and will attack similar trees or any tree.
You would need to use a pesticide that is effective on that critter to prevent them boring into the tree. Once they are in, either a systemic and hope you get them in time or spray something into the holes I guess. Might want to contact your local agricultural station agent or a tree specialist

It's bad.
This tree has never been really healthy actually and I'm pretty sure that this was the coup de grace :)
Luckily, as I said, I didn't like it and I have plans for much better there
So be it!

Thanks!

Then I would just cut it down and get rid of the wood. Burn it if you can in a fire place/wood stove.
