I really do. So one of my spring projects is going to be grafting Nana procumbens to Old Gold Juniper. I see both pretty cheap at the different nurseries and big box stores I've been to. The Nana procumnens are all low and some of the Old Golds have big informal upright trunks so I plan on trying to put the procumbens on the old gold.
I've never grafted anything before so if it's possible what type of graft should I attempt and when should I attempt it?
Thank you.

It depends on what you want to accomplish. If you have the branch structure and just want to change the foliage and move it closer to the trunk graft scions onto the existing branches. If you want to get branches on a bare trunk approach grafting is a pretty sure bet on junipers. The approach graft is where you take a separate whip on its own root system and either drill through the trunk where you want it or cut a grove into the trunk and place the graft into the union not separating the graft from its root system until it has healed over and you graft is showing signs of new growth.

It never got off the ground. The old gold junipers are in the ground at my mother in laws. Living out their days as landscape shrubs.
All of my procumbens got ate.
I'm down to one shimpaku and a couple parsons junipers.
I still like procumbens foliage though. Almost as much as Kishu shimpaku.
