I wish I'd "tagged" my Scots candles.

This Scots Pine had myriad candles this year but, as Scots aren't the JBP ...STALKS.... they were much shorter.
Not wanting to cut them prematurely, they've needled out and are more congested than a free rock concert. And now they are pretty much hidden among the tree
Is this going to be a manageable task or are mistakes expected?
I think I have to cut that congestion back.

Right?

(Some of last year's needles from when it was funking are still there as you can see by scattered yellow tipping)

Go thru the tree, and look for places where there are more than 2 new shoots coming from a node. Thin to 2 shoots. Shouldn’t be hard to do.
