In my garden, the pyracantha bush has this gnarly branch. It would be great if you could throw in some ideas On where I should take cuts from ( air layer ) to make best use.
Kinda hard to judge from a pic but look for a part that has movement and some taper already
Basicly look for anything that will be a decent trunk to start with, branches can be grown on
