There are these beautiful tree with lovely branching patterns and have beautiful little apple looking fruits with no leaves i took pictures of the fruit and bark. Is this a crab apple?

marc206,

It appears to be some sort of Hawthorn. Which one? I have no idea.

Regards,
Martin

hawthorn was my first guess, but I have never seen on with fruit that big, unless it is a perspective trick and they are not very big. but the bark and the thorns (if they are on the tree in question?) look like crataegus. Dig some!

I can't dig but I can take cuttings and fruit for seeds

I think Hawthorne seed take two years to germinate, maybe there is some sprouting in the immediate area.
