Identify this tree

Hey - can you help me identify this tree? I love them and they are everywhere around here (Papudo, a coastal town near Valparaíso, Chile).

Cypress. Cupressus sempervirens.

Is a Cupressus species for sure, not that sure if its sempervirens though, it could be Cupressus macrocarpa

Well, I found this amazing article about identifying cypresses and I’m almost sure it’s a sempervirens. Went for a quick stroll and came back with a big bag full of seed cones, some already dropping seeds. I’ll take a closer look tomorrow. Wouldn’t be nice having a couple of hundreds cypress bonsai in 20 years or so?

Hey, it’s the next morning.

I’ve been examining the pods, and it looks like they hold about 50 seeds each. Here’s a photo for reference:

And here’s a look on hoy many seeds are in about a dozen pods, many of which were already empty:
