Hey guys, this is my first post. Anyways, I was wondering if any of you would like to give me your input on this yaupon holly I have. I collected it about 7 years ago and have since kept in a larger container than it is in presently, in order to increase the girth of the trunk. The nebari could also use a lot of work. Specifically, I am of the mind to not cut the top portion of the foliage to encourage the central trunk to increase in diameter. As you can see the tree is sort of two dimensional at the moment. Anyone want to give me styling tips?

I think it has some great branching, nice and low on the trunk. If it were mine, I'd probably leave it in the grow box, but start reducing the branches and work on ramification. As you probably know, this species takes a long time to heal over cutting wounds.

Okay, I will look at those sources. Bonsai Barry, thank you for the compliments. Do you think I should start trimming any of branches I am unsure about? Also, do you know how these hollies react to root hormone and sphagnum moss?
