But what about getting a seed pod to grow on an existing mature tree?
I guess it must bloom first. When you say mature do you mean on the ground, big tree, or an old bonsai? Because the tree blooms every year and produces many seeds. It blooms in old bonsai also, but not so strongly.

Not old bonsai but not young sapling. About 7 years. I’ve read some years they won’t bloom and then out of the blue it will.
