Wow that was fun to read, blast from the past! Ryan Neil is the man! I joined Mirai live as soon as it went public, great content and it's incredible to see what he's built!

My chubby face back in 2009 with one of my first Bonsai. An Ume which I currently have growing in my growing field, trunk is about 3x thicker now, but still has a long way to go.

Me in 2021. Mirai did a phenomenal job in transporting this tree from CA to NY for the US National Show

Wow 2009 you looked so young and innocent! The bonsai world had not bent you down yet :) Eventually you start looking like your trees. Or at least... as I get older I hope my trees look like me!

Are those Utah junipers?

Yeah, but in 2021 he has two of the cutest creations I've ever seen (they are humans...🥰🥰)

I prefer to think positively.

Good thing you were researching Ryan Neil instead of real estate!
2009 was not a bad year to buy real estate. I wish I’d bought a home in 2009, or ideally in 2011/2012. Also wish I was researching Ryan Neil in 2009… 😁
