Hi bonsainuters so i was able to collect an old lonicera yamadori 2 weeks ago... due to the place i dug the tree i was able to collect very little to next than nothing of the roots... i had little hopes of the survival rate for this old tree but i did not gave up... i followed the european collecting methods for deciduous trees where they wrap it with a black bag and making sure that the tree has 100 percent humidity inside... i then put the tree inside my house where it is warm( living in Norway the temp. outside is still very cold during april). and i was very surprise with the results today after opening the bag... 2 weeks after collection... its pushing new growth and even pushing aerial roots. when the temp. outside is going to get warmer i will then slowy aclimate the tree... I know this is not new but just want to share it anyways... enjoy
