It really would be worth checking with the nursery you bought if from to get the correct botanical name for it.
It wasn't from a bonsai nursery It was from a normal garden nursery. They were selling a load of mallsai chinese elms. Then they had this podocarpus (Which I did think was an Irish Yew at the time) all on it's own looking very sorry for itself. I offered them £15.00 for it but we agreed on £25.00. I have brought it into the house to play it safe for a while and see how it reacts. Then next year I'd like to air layer some parts of it as I don't think it has much of a future as it stands.
