i have 2 small Horse chestnut trees with side branches much lower than i have ever seen on a horse chestnut is it possible to reduce their leaf size and would there be any other forseeable problems ( i already Know that i would have to regularly prune that massive tap root they like to put out) or should i add them to the re-wild pile.

They have compound leaves... so can't see them being good bonsai material

Some years ago, Walter Pall showed one in on of the bonsai magazines -- maybe Bonsai Today. It was quite nice -- but they MUST be large bonsai.
