Comparing to the pics from the repotting this spring....I'm very pleased to see how much it filled in, it grew more than I thought actually...and I think I did cut back a few of the longest branches this summer.
I'm most happy because that was some major root reduction!

After over a year of pondering...I think I've decided on a basic style for this tree...
I want the main large trunk, which is the dead part, to look like it broke off...
So I'll have to do some carving work there, quite a bit....
I'm going to jin all the smaller branches short and utilize the thickest one as the new main trunk.

I want to build a simple drooping branch structure, like a spruce or fir...or something.

It's lookin good, and healthy! I think the battered alpine style will work good with this. I always love the beat up old mountain trees!
