I lopped off the bottom 70% of the roots this spring and gave it an initial hard cut back.
Its come back thick twice since then, with hedging in-between major thinnings.
Today is its 3rd major thinning this year.
I'll bare root it next spring and finally see the root base and get it out of that muck....though it seems to love the muck so far.
Looking for the small end of shohin size with this one.
