That’s a bummer! Glad you figured it out though. What are the signs that it has this moth infestation?
The tip of a branch dies. The bud and a clump of needle next to it turn brown. If you break the dead piece off you can sometimes find a little worm which has been eating it's way down the center of the candle.

I like to think I have learned a bit in the last 3 years so I want to try another "Yatsubusa" JBP. Brent no longer sells any. Does anyone know where I can find one? I've seen a couple advertised for sale on the internet but am unsure whose would have a nice low graft suitable for bonsai.
