Japanese Black pine

I bought some JBP seeds on eBay. This is the first time I'm trying to germinate a pine tree.

The directions say:

Scarification: Soak in water for 24 hours
stratification: None Required
germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, pack/tamp the soil

No stratification? Is that correct? I thought maybe 30-60 days fridge time? What do you guys recommend?

BTW, I live in Sao Paulo, where the weather is similar to South Florida, and I am stratifying my seeds 40 days in the fridge before sowing them.

One will get a higher rate of germination by stratifying the seeds.

Ok thanks! I was hoping I didn't have to stratify. I hate having to wait 40 days to sow, lol, but it is what it is. I guess I'll have to wait. I'll check out that link.. thanks again...
