My Japanese Elm has been having a problem with the leaves turning yellow and curling up. Can anyone identify what causing this and how to remedy it? Thanks!

Looks like a Chinese elm, ulmus parvifolia.I would say peach leaf curl.It is recommended to pinch off the affected leaves and burn them, cause if left on it can severely weaken a tree.A good reason to use a fungicide such as Ortho Garden Disease Control on a regular basis.Peach leaf curl is not usually to kill a tree.It falls in the air as spores in spring. The only way to not get it is under cover in spring, but you need light.I leave mine out and just pluck the affected leaves as soon as I see them. You cannot leave them on there though.I usually find it on the growing tips and just snip off.I only see it in spring, then again my elm is bathed in a haze of fungicide by then.
