I have had the same happen to one of mine this summer. I have 3 and only one had leaf burns. I think it had weak roots and couldn't move water as efficiently as the other 2. It has since recovered. we just ended a 2 week heat spell and all 3 did fine.In the last 2 days, outside temperature went up to 118 F!! I should have moved the small quince pots to the east side of the garden! This afternoon they had sign of heat damage!
This one has bigger pot, and it has been doing fine, even though it stays in the same place with smaller pots.

Where can I find them to buy? Thanks for suggestion Leo. I will remember to do that
Thanks for helping me to answer Leo’ s question.
Yes, Toyo nishiki has 3 flower colors on the same tree: red, white and pink. SMS has red, white, white with red band, white with multiple red pots or stripes and red with white band. I think the Evergreen garden has this yow of quince but I don’t know if it will be exactly the same .

Sorry for the late response!Hi Bonhe,
Here is a quince that I recently bought about a week ago and the leaves are turning brown and falling off... I don't know what I'm doing wrong? Is it the hot weather that I'm at (Diamond Bar, CA)... Is the tree dying...?
Wow that is very striking! Amazing! Thanks for your comment. Yes, it is what I thought for years !
Look at this one. Satsuki kind, isn’t it?

Thank you for your response... I've moved it to a morning sun only location; however, all leaves have dropped now. Should I re-pot?... I might have contributed by adding too much fertilizer.Sorry for the late response!
Yes, this is a sign of sun (heat) burn. You should move it to the shady place for now. If you can place it in the area with morning sun only, it is good. Don’t worry too much. It will come back with new leaves. Don’t fertilize it at this time . Because it is a new arrival to your garden, it will be stress. Good luck to you.

Yes, thanks for reminding me. It is combined between sunburn and fertilizer burn.Thank you for your response... I've moved it to a morning sun only location; however, all leaves have dropped now. Should I re-pot?... I might have contributed by adding too much fertilizer.
Very nice flower !Coincidentally, 1 of mine started to bloom today.
It’s my first time ever seeing chaenomeles flower in person. Exciting!
It is Kan Toyo... but the flower and buds are white. I thought they were supposed to be both pink and white lol. All good...better than nothing.
I also have 5 other young ones I got at the same time - 2 Iwai Nishiki, O Yashima, standard Toyo Nishiki, Contorted Salmon Pink. I hope they flower too.
