Went for a Sunday drive in and around town. It is still winter here, and the trees are dull and grey with no foliage. So it was easy to spot this beautiful shrub next to the
road covered in red flowers. Naturally I stopped and took a few clippings. I used my "picturethis" app and it identified as Japanese Flowering Quince. I was pleasantly surprised to see this plant in a small town in South Africa..
As you may know it is quite a popular plant used for Bonsai. Show me yours..
