I put in an absolutely beautiful JBP for my parents. It has a prostrate growth and a great trunk. I did a little root collar excavation, removed the top of burlap and twine and a light prune. (I lied slightly, i sourced the tree and had someone else plant it). Planning on eventually lifting the sides that are low to showcase the branch and trunk structure better. Great videos. You think decandle? I was going to mostly leave it be this season but have been undecided if I want to decandle/reduce candles or not.
If you've just planted it, probably a good choice.
