Japanese Maple Field Growing Progression Thread

I just planted some of my smaller palmatums in the ground, and I want to get a sense of their development speed. I have had a hard time finding any threads showcasing Japanese maples' speed of trunk growth in the ground over the course of years. I see lots of refinement progressions, but not many early stage-serious material progressions. I wanna see how someone brings a seedling into a bonsai, or at least a decent pre-bonsai.

Would anyone care to post their progressions, with time stamps? Doesn't have to be strictly Japanese maples, if you have a really good progression of something like an elm or trident, that would be great too!

Bring on that trunk growth, or redirect me to a thread!

Uneventfull (yet) progression of a Japanse mapple

2003 : 2 two one year JM seedlings put together through a slate. First action, first error : especially for species with great morphological diversity, one would prefer use cuttings from the same mother tree. 2005 first repot 2007 repot again. It is very much like "Edge of Tomorrow"...
