Ok so I did some heavy pruning on a Japanese maple in late winter, and my stupid self left it outside which would have been ok if it were warm enough. I thought it was but I realize now it was not. I had some major die back. Other than keeping the soil moist is there anything else I can do?

Hello, you'll need to provide considerably more information. Pictures of tree, your location for starters

I have used Menedael or Hb101 as instructed in the bottles and it has helped mine.

Where there is green...there is life.
Images this year...of my ryusen maple. That span of bench is 50" wide.

What we found spring of 2014. Decimated from an arctic winter which through us into a zone colder than normal and out of this species zone. Notice the small amount of green on the trunk. Where there is green...there is still a story to be written. I had under 12" of a trunk not dead.

Remove the die back until you hit green, then seal all the cuts. Keep the substrate moist, not wet.....don't let it dry out. Keep it in daylight under shade.

Pray and wait patiently for it to back bud.
