Thought I'd share the amazing spring leaf color on this J. Red Beech. As decent as the photos are, the color is even more nuanced in person. There are 2 possible fronts, just developing for now...
I've never seen this species before. Really beautiful! Where did you get it?That's exactly what they look like, as if they were hand painted Grimmy.
I lucked into this tree, and am happy with the direction it's going. I do pinch beech in the spring, unless I want longer growth.
I like to work with trees that are a bit out of the norm for bonsai, keeps it interesting!
