I think a small, round(er), carp-scale textured olive-green/brown pot with gold(ish) detail work would look nice “around” this guy.

This plant works well in accent plantings. Remember it grows in damp areas so try not to let it dry out. Works well in combination with ferns, and other grasses that like damp conditions. You'll probably find it has a fair amount of root - it's OK to reduce it a bit, but don't try to cram it in to too small a pot. Can be divided up easily.
