You need to develop little branches down low. And once you get some, remove those long trunks.

That’s hard to say without having the tree in front of me. The main thing is to get little branches started down low.

Update on this JBP from the discount shelf:

It was repotted in a much bigger training pot and will grow one more season before being chopped down.
