You can get 360 radial roots on everyone if you take your time.

Reading through the awesome progression for a third time (I've got seeds enroute, so gleaning tips and tricks from several threads) and a question occurred to me. At what point does it become inadvisable to bare root a conifer? I imagine you are relatively safe through year 3, especially if they are as strong and healthy as these are. But at a certain point I'm sure this messes with mycorrhiza.

Idk, I guess when they die you know you’ve gone too far

That's fair I suppose. Have you had success using your same techniques with JWP?
Yes, but this is just a single cut

Greetings, I was searching the net for JBP's information, and totally impressed by the the photos of post 11, I don't understand "poke and prod" cuttings, and don't know the growing moment to make them honestly.

I want to try to use clone gel on stem cut seedlings or cuttings like yours, can you share some knowledge with me please? (tried with "conversation" but it says mine is spam like and doesn't send private message, dunno why)
is really important for me, I do only for my pleasure (and also gift/share with people plants) not for money. I hope you'll understand, thank you!

Peace

This is one from 2018I just sold to john Romano. I grow mostly containerized trees although I put 250 from the 2018 batch in the ground just for fun, we will see how those look in the spring. I reslly do most of my stuff on my FB page which is open to the public if anyone wants to look
