Here are some pictures of Jim Gremel's nursery. I took them on a sunny day, so my apologies for how shadowed and difficult to see the trees are. There are so many packed everywhere that there was also no chance of a neutral background... I tried to take only pictures of trees FOR SALE, so I am almost certain that everything I am posting has a price. Just contact Jim if you fall in love. http://www.jimgremel.com/bonsaihomepage.html

Here are some yamadori-style junipers;

Perhaps what he is best known for, Atlas Cedars;

Nice trees, thanks for sharing. Just out of curiosity, what are those loops around the base of the trunks? Is it for watering or security?

Brian did a good job taking a "couple " of photos. They do no justice at all for Jim's place. Like Brian said it's just row of congested row of Bonsai's not just tree's. I have been going there for a year now for a once a month class with my son and I still don't think we have looked at every tree he has. The guy is just a great person and his knowledge is seen in his material. Of course his material is "for Sale".

If your going try to make it to his place schedule it with one of his classes or do as Smoke suggested and make a day of it. .

JW is right, its quite packed, and there are hundreds of refined bonsai. To Vic and everyone, his place is just past the town of Occidental tucked back in the hills. It is pretty hard to find, but I would be happy to escort anyone who wants to visit. I can talk to Jim when he gets back from NY, and maybe set up a date or weekend for an open nursery or something. Anyone know the dates they will be in town? Also, the REBS annual show is the last weekend in August (28-29) which is definitely worth a visit. I will be there both days as a volunteer (I'm the young guy who looks completely out of place...)
Glad everyone is enjoying the pics, -=Brian=-

Vic , check his web site. He gives directions from Hwy 101. BTW , Korbel champaign ( sp ) is close to Santa Rosa. There's also a great B&B just north of Santa Rosa called Vintners Inn I think.
