My girlfriend wants to buy me for Christmas a power tool for for creating jin, shari and hollows. What tool would you recommend, brand, model and bits. I have a Dremel for small jobs, but I need a bigger and more powerful one for my larger trees. Your recommendations are appreciated. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you.

I've enjoyed the tri-cut cutters (A or B shape) Dale Cochoy offers; at a significantly lower price than the Percival and Lancelot, and they remove wood like a hot knife through butter:

The only drawback is that the bigger ones are heavier than the chain-blades of the Percival and Lancelot.

Get a good HIGH SPEED tool with a flex shaft to allow maximum access to some of those hard-to-reach areas.
