Juniperus chinensis - pfitzeriana

I have recently bought couple of junipers and all of them are tagged as 'Juniperus chinensis - pfitzeriana glauca - silver' or 'Juniperus chinensis - pfitzeriana compacta - green'. Now i am a bit confused. Are these the chinese junipers or is this some different species.
Have also find an article which says that juniperus chinesis and pfitzeria is the sam thing?

As far as I am aware Pfitzeriana is a cross between J. Chinensis and J. Sabina. Also known as J. x Media.

Thanks. Now i understand what the 'x' means.
Considering that both J. chinesis and J. sabina are great for bonsai, would assume that the J. 'x' would also be ok?

J. Sabina is less suited than chinensis, according to the Japanese. But the Europeans have made very nice Sabina's.
I found that most pfizers/media have very coarse foliage. They go leggy easily. Your compacta might be different.
But they're almost indestructible; saw them in half while they're frozen, do a repot, wire them up all in the same go and they'll likely survive.
Fast growers in the right conditions too.

But again, the foliage could be a problem. I understand why people want to graft other types on them.
