Yesterday i bought this raw juniperus sabina rockery gem at a bonsai nursery

It was hard to pick one out of the 50+ he had for sale but i kept coming back to this one as picking a decent starter is also a part of bonsai this is why i chose this one:

I saw a nice semi cascade style in it its healthy and it contains some cool deadwood features and for 35€ i think the price was cheap lol

First thing to do is repotting it and maybe get some wire in it as well

I like it. Not a stick in pot. Nice trunk and foliage tight and low. I would repot this spring into a training pot and wait for it to get nice and healthy before trying to do to much work on it. The only thing I would do now is remove really weak foliage. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thnx ! Just curious what do you think is nice about it tell me what do you see ? :D

Doh you noticed the wires
The wire kinda suck i know i tried it on the roots in the soil but it still was wigling in the pot and tieing down tighter was damaging the roots so tied it down like this not prety but dont want the new forming roots to break trough the winds moving the tree once it settles ill cut the wire off !

Its hard to tell from a picture but your planting angle does not seem to be the best. You don't always know where you are going with a tree especially at the early stages but it seems the whole tree is falling over backwards to the left. I always try to repot with the best possible front and angle that way it makes it easier to work on later. It would also be easier for the Bnuts to help if they could more of the tree.

Looking happy and pushing some fresh green growth
Time to go trough the tree and clean ir up remove weak dull foliage and then let it grow for the rest of the season

Ah yes pollen was the word!
Should i remove them for less energy going to them and more to the tree itself?

I don't think so, at least I never have. Maybe someone else will chime in, I've never really thought about it.
When they are done they will fall off and the ends kind of look like they don't have a growing tip anymore. They will/can eventually throw a new shoot out of where the flower fell off but it can take some time for that to happen.

This one still hasnt been worked much but slowley been thinning it out....

Now next season feed heavily and let grow fuller in the interior so i got a compact tree wich im 100% sure of its vigour to work with in fall 2019 and also some more time to think the design over...

Im leaning towards a semi cadcade style but a moyogi is not unthinkable either :p
