Here's a guy who has been with us since 93, and when sold the claim was that it was
35 years old.

Branches allowed to lengthen, tend to curl.

Requires a pot that has a porous bottom. The trunk is hollow and one day we may
concrete the hollow.

Just sharing.

Bought as a stock plant, but the root cuttings curl as they grow and are a little weird.
So it was left along as an elm specimen.

If you take cuttings do they respond the same way?
And do you have other elms and do they all do this or is this the only one?

Gorgeous tree Anthony. It has really cool branches. Thanks for showing it. I really like this size of bonsai.
It is isn't it? That's why I asked about cuttings from it.
It doesn't need much wire.

@M. Frary,

Hey Gogeerah !

Mike, have never really used cuttings, just roots. Happens naturally, everytime there is a repotting.
You should see this year's batch of cuttings.
Thanks for looking.

Just read your new comment, wish I could send you as many as you desired. Maybe ...................

By the way this tree for whatever reason lost 5 branches so it was even more dense and the same happened with
the child, one very long branch - gone ?
Not sure why ?????????

Still hitting 68 deg,F at night ----------- odd

Thanks Si !!
Your comments mean alot.
Good Day

. Happens naturally
That's quite cool.
The elm root cuttings don't react that way here.
It's like a contorted species of elm.
Now I really, really need to come down to visit you and Khaimraj!
68F at night! We won't see that for a daytime temperature for at least another month here.
Maybe do an exchange next winter. You send K.. here and I'll come down there.
Think he would like to try some snow sports?

Mike,

K lived in a zone 6/7 area in the US and says he finds winter very restricting. He is generally an outdoor person,
hence the drive to be in Toco, the island's extreme north. Wild, tons of trees, rare birds and the ocean.
Even the milder zone 9 of Florence had him bored.

Come down in two years, the house at Mayaro should be totally finished, handles 6 people, bring family.
and the rule is you pay for cooking gas / car rental. Your money is 1 US = 6.75 TT
Solar powered courtesy me.
Food is cheap as $$$ goes.

Shore fishing is excellent in the dry season, deep sea and shore feeders. Tasty.

BUT remember we don't have your great Malls, and a lot of your conveniences and the people are variations
of brown to dark brown. They speak like this -------------- Yuh does sats down, de ovah deer.
- Please be seated on that side.

We live on the western side of the island, so even if we cannot be friends, you can relax n peace.
House was built for Fine Artists friends, they are extreme folk.

Now starting the waterfall on the property at Mayaro, you might see it activated ----- stay tuned.

If you are really lucky maybe even a stay at Toco.
Good Day

The nearest mall from here is 90 miles away.
So we wouldn't miss those. Who cares what color people are?
Not me certainly. I turn a nice red in the sun.
If I ever can save the money I will take you up on the generous offer. My wife would probably never want to leave though.

Mike,

tell her, you can stay for 6 months as Americans, no visa and can purchase up to either it is 1 acre or 1/2 acre of
land. So winter is November to April and would you like a few lots down Cedros [ South side facing Venezuela ]
comes complete with private beach. Elevation 200 feet. You can hang with the Europeans and Venezuelans.
I kid you not.

Good Day
