Just a simple update.
Also to show how a tree loses a bend and why we don't try to
wire young J.B.pine seedlings.

Soil is 1/3 all - 5 mm silica based gravel. 5 mm crushed red earthenware
brick and aged compost.

Position - full sun.
Good Day

How is your guava now? I have several guava trees that are about 7 ft tall. One of them is in a shallow 18" x 18" x 4" grow box. The trunk is about 2" in diameter. I am thinking about turning it into a bonsai. Your thought?

Anthony hasn’t been around in a while. :(

Though I think of him often.

He has done a few guava trees. I got some really good candidates. They are really popular in South East Asia. Mine once developed will be funky because it is a Thai guava with very big fruits. So it has potential to be a small bonsai with fist size fruits.

Awesome.. I have seen some decent examples.. I have tried store guava seeds.. but I am too far from the source.. but Ironically store poms do fine. 🤣

Start a thread on ‘em.

If you do.. call me over... get some florida folks on it.. they love Guava.
