I cannot tell anything from your pix about buds. It really doesn't matter at this point for anything other than your education.
Maybe try to gently wiggle/flick the buds with a finger. Brittle = dead. Otherwise, maybe it will be okay. Check again later.
Brown needles are dead needles. Needles without a vibrant color will soon be brown too. The needles in your first two pix look good to me. Not so much in all the other pix. All needles on a shoot are brown = dead shoot. In general, your trees are very unhealthy.
As long as there are a few rows of fascicles on a shoot with pliant buds on the end, there is hope. All you can do is wait, watch, and NOT over water, IMHO.
