I just picked up this Japanese White Pine from a local garden store, my other pine is a Mugo. They get shipments of starters from semi-local nurseries in Northern California. I can see its clearly a graft but I don't know what the under stock is. It was labeled as a "Yatsubusa" white pine and had a description of being dense growing with short internodes. I have heard about white pines being difficult to care for and I'm always a little unsure if I'm giving it the right amount of water. Anyone seen or owned one of these before? Any specific care tips?
