today was the day kauai bonyu kai held its annual spring show as part of the popular garden fair at the community college campus. the weather was balmy and nearly perfect for the outdoor event - which drew throngs of people all day. here are some random pictures of some of the trees. the light in the tent was less than ideal for pictures, however, there were moments when the the direction of the sunlight made for some nice shots.

best wishes, sam

the first series includes some morning shots with the sun behind trees. what is most cool are the shadows created by potted bamboo in the tent next to ours. we couldnt'ave done a better job ourselves if we'd tried

Balmy weather. Gorgeous trees. Thanx for sharing both!! I think I feel the ocean breezes already.

Are any of your trees in the exhibit yours? Which ones? Tell us what they are.

Looks like a nice show. The screens with the bamboo silhouettes really do make a tremendous back drop. Gotta love when unplanned things work out like that.

looks like it was an excellent exibit.
too bad the lighting wasn't better to get a better view of the trees more clearly.
