I picked this up from Facebook Marketplace and completed a full restyling. This was my first work on a decidious tree (besides the Shishigashira maple from Lowe's I butchered in the spring). Finishing my first full year in bonsai (I started in the spring, got my first chinese elm last october and kept it alive indoors but nothing more).

Cool looking tree, nice find. One thing to consider, deciduous trees tend to grow up, branches tend to all seek out the light, evergreens tend to sag with age. The branches on the left of your second photo follow that, look more natural. Just something to consider, something that I've been exposed to working with better artists than I am. Again, sweet tree - I'm a big fan of hornbeams.
