That’s great , when it flushed out . How do you treat this Hornbeam. I always just cut mine back to two or three leaves but never defoliated , although more experienced people do

Looks great! I’ even sowing the seeds from my mature Korean Hornbeams and have taken a few air layers..

This tree has a nice feature in autumn: the left part becomes yellowish while the other becomes red.View attachment 460962 I love it!
The coloring is fantastic! I really like the understated pastel coloration that has color values to compliment the trunk so it all works together. And the tree works perfect in the aqua blue bonsai pot. Well done! Mighty fine!
