I thought the browning needles were due to the repot stress. I got rid of them I believe so hopefully it recovers.
I only have one JBP and the little suckers found it!
IIRC, this is just how the JBP candle pruning technique was serendipitously discovered - tree devastated by pine tip moth, second flush was ... EURIKA!
hows this tree doing? i have a scary-identical one in the nursery form still...i saw one of those moths on mine btw, but no browning or dieing tips. mine is getting hardcut and repot in the late winter/early spring
