Kwanzan cherry blossom

Hi, I’ve been trying to get into bonsai and I was looking at getting a Kwanzan cherry blossom sapling. I understand that fertilizer is a big part of bonsai, but I don’t know what fertilizer is best. What is the best type of fertilizer and also what tips should I know?

Nice choice, balance between soil and water retention is the biggest thing. Let it grow wild for a while. 10-10-10 during growing season and a bit of 5-15-5 mid fall

I have some Kwanzan. You can use Osmocote.

Keep in mind to what style you want to make with it. Kwanzan are not like the other flowering cherries as they bloom in clusters.
