Nuts,

I bought this last fall, and didn't repot this spring because I wanted to leave it be for a year. Before now there was never any roots coming out of the bottom, but after just looking I have TONS popping out. Will it be okay until spring, or should I repot it now even though it's risky? I haven't done much with this tree, as it kind of been a back burner one. I bought it labeled as a kojo no Mai, but found after it leafed that it's not. Which is okay, I still like the science behind trying to bonsai everything.

Side note: The blossom of increased roots must be due to this powder supplement I've been using in my watering. Its supposedly a professional strength microbial superpack that's supposed to encourage mycorrhizal fungi . Since it also has the goods such as Kemp, molasses, fulvic, humic, and Amino acids I figured why not try it. I bought it thinking okay, couldn't hurt but probably not all the hype it says, but wow this stuff has all of my trees growing endless roots.

You could slip pot as @Forsoothe! suggested into something larger or just trim those roots off. I would not do any major root reduction until it goes dormant.
