Does anyone know of a nursary in the states that grows large manicured landscape specimens? They seem to be a lot of them in Europe, but I have not been able to locate one here.

I think this the kind of place you are looking for although I am sure that you want some place closer to you and not clear across the country.

Yeah I could not bring myself to pay that much for a tree in such a different zone than mine. You would think someone in California does this.

Give George Murakana a try. He's got many species and more than 2,000 black pines. I've never been to his nursery, but I bet he's got landscape versions (niwaki).
