Large Daiza

This is my latest large , carved edge daiza I just finished.

Nicely done. Can you tell us more about the species of wood, process used and type of finish. Again very very nice.

The wood is black walnut, dyed dark brown.
The high spots in the edge are actually pieces carved to fit and then added on to the top of the daiza board.
The carved edge is done freehand with my power carver as is the whole outside of the daiza.
Then, A LOT OF SANDING!!!!!! LOL

The final finish is 2 coats sanding sealer and 2 coats satin lacquer.
