This pre-bonsai started some years ago together with 20+ brothers and sisters as a one-year old seedling, planted in the ground for 2 years. Girdled below ground level. 5 or so survived the first 2 years. The non responders (roots not good enough) were tossed the rest was put in pond baskets or pots. This are the first photos of the development worth taking apparently. Since i experimented a lot with these plants they have a lot of flaws, some can not be changed anymore. After 7 years i end up with mediocre material. Here and there i could have made some shortcuts i guess.

Awesome! Like the new direction. Will be great to maintain these,eh?
A bonsai pot in the near future?
This tree is rather 2 dimensional and needs development. I see if I can score cheap plastic bonsai pots to start with. It's always nice to know where it comes from. It makes me respect the nice trees more.
