This is what the English call 'Norway Spruce'. We cal it European spruce because it is the most common tree in Europe. Every second tree in Germany is a European spruce.

The European spruce is also the most common tree in my yard/garden. Some approaching 30 meters. A very popular Christmas tree in the US. Thank you!

I found this winter photo of some of my European spruce trees. I hope those of you who have been suffering from this summer's unbearable heat feel the chill. Note the literati style eastern white pines on the right. They were knocked down during this spring's high wind storms.
