Omono
elements include a scroll with lightening bug, ikebana flower display, tea pot, misu viewing
lantern.
the scroll sets the theme of late summer. the ikebana compliments the hotaru (BUG) and is displayed on a bamboo dai (used strictly during summer)
statuary is one found near cool water. The tea pot symbolizes a social time with quests.
I've contacted my sumi-e artist to work up more shikishi boards for scroll use this fall.
part of each morning's routine is to redo my full sized tokonoma alcove display as well as my table top or seki display as shown here. By doing these things on a daily basis it has me doing a better job then earlier this year.
