You might have exaggerated the shari width at the top and elongated the top into a tapered point to make a feature out of the too wide top...

And over time thicken and define the outside of the canopy to frame the main point of focus on the shari tip...

Lots to see, but one point of focus.

The tree had a lot of rot, so I was focusing mostly on that for the carving. Still plenty left going forward but I do agree with your overall plan.
