I've had this cork bark elm for 2 years, and it has grown tremendously well. This year, it grew vigorously enough for me to cut back on two separate occasions, but after the 2nd cut back it has had some serious trouble. I'm not sure if these problems are related to the pruning, or if it has caught some disease. I have treated with Mancozeb, Clearys3336 (both spray and granule), but neither show much sign of helping. Anyone have any thoughts on what is going on? I was hoping the fungicides would help, and I hope it's not too late to salvage.

Thanks for the bump. Since I first posted, it has subsequently dropped all of it's leaves and tried to push out again slowly. I've also treated again with mancozeb and granulated clearys3336. I suspect if these leaves exhibit the same problem and drop again, this will be it for this guy.

I would certainly keep it through spring. I've been told some pesticides, I think a Bayer 3 in 1 specifically, will stunt the growth of elm leaves. So i don't think you should treat it any further with chemicals. Good luck it looks like a great little trunk
