Oh no! Hate when things arrive with a hiccup to our schedule.
That's the reason we inventory pots. You buy pots you like when you see them and have them to choose from when the time comes. The worst thing that happens to us is to go shopping with money burning a hole in our pocket and not being able to find anything we want.

Not always easy. I've even tried commissioned for the ryusen twice. Sometimes the stars do not align. Odd size pots are more challenging.

I was told that leaving a bald cypress in a second container so that it would be submerged would force the base to get wide like they do in nature. The wide base helps support it in the swamps. I used to hunt in and around cypress swamps where I grew up and some of these bases are extremely big.

I have a couple of trees (bald cypress, metasequoia and willow) that I keep in a big tray with water. I add 3 tablespoons of cinnamon in the water. No mosquitoes.

The buttress on my BC has gotten larger while submerged. It would no longer fit a commissioned pot I had made for it.

If the buds have opened to the point you can see the brush of the fronds. Its too late. I had buds...so mine got repotted. Missed the past two years prior. Caught them to late and I had brush for buds showing. And last year we had a milder winter and it appeared not to be fully dormant.
